A pair of my favorite dolls are the Dollfies. I have three of them one is the Elegant Collection smooth body poseable doll and the other is the Beauty B with the many points of articulation. The last is the Goh Guy whom, I still have to finish outfits for so and  I will post photos of him later.

I love these dolls because I can move them like a human would be able to move. They are more like an adult doll than Barbie or other fashion dolls who are not as flexible. I do have to admit to loving the Urban Vita for the same reason but that’s another story!

The Dollfies were my first articulate dolls and came without face painting or even hair, along with having to install eyes! This allowed me to customize the dolls a bit more. When I got them I didn’t do much customizing though and it was several years later that my sweet heart actually did the painting for me. In the meantime however, I did manage to make patterns for them shown below.

Brenda Starr has a beautiful oriental style dress pattern.  This pattern is a halter top style with double French darts that can be made as pictured in a full length style or cut off for shorter styles. I hope to add a Kimono or some other lovely oriental style item to go with this pattern soon. The dress pictured is made of a recycled polyester blouse  that is a black on black texture to simulate a brocade which would be difficult to find in a light enough weight to sew in a small scale such as this.

For 2 years I have been working off and on to redesign and rework my main website. I have a new design, new navigation and a much smaller site. The Crash Course is on it’s own blog site that is just for Tutorials and life is good. From here on I can work on the new patterns that have been in progress for 4 or more years! For now though, enjoy the new look and some surprise new patterns that I didn’t previously have online for sale. In the coming weeks I will be posting about each pattern, new and old with a story of each one’s creation! All my dolls have a tale to tell as to how I found them or how they got their outfits and later their patterns. Even my books have a story behind them.

You will also notice a new menu item on the blog here… I added a resources page for Webrings. I will be reviewing the rings and many of the treasures each ring has as member sites! I’ll also be posting about books and other items available from other sites that I use or have on my wish list.

Enjoy the new look I certainly am!

I have officially taken the old site down and am now in the process of uploading and tweaking the new version. In the process of redesigning and reworking the site I discovered several patterns that were never fully posted and are now ready, besides that I also discovered that what I just uploaded a moment ago does not have the menu un-hidden and thus you will only see the home page for the moment on www.suestinycostumes.com!

It’s up but has issues for the minute! Looking forward to hearing from my visitors about it!
